BLACK COMME DES GARCONS
Following on from the success of their collaboration with Louis Vuitton (which finishes on December 14th) the Commes des Garcons store on Kotto Dori in Aoyama will be opening as a new concept store for two months beginning in January 2009. “BLACK commes des Garcons” is said to be historically themed with limited edition items, we will bring you more information as soon as we get any.

LV 2009 SPRING / SUMMER FOOTWEAR PREVIEW
Louis Vuitton flagship store Omotesando are in the midst of preparing the re-launch
of the store following a renovation. The newly re-opened space will feature a full lifestyle
approach including a bar housed within the complex. The store will also feature a look
into LV’s 2009 spring/summer collection including the following in terms of footwear.
Showcasing the sneaker side of things are two models. Both the high-top and low-top
share some common similarities in the overall profile and toebox construction while the
high-top utilizes the famous LV monogram. The Louis Vuitton Omotesando store opens
November 23rd.

Louis Vuitton always manages to surprise us by taking whatever they do to the next level.
For their flagship store on 5th avenue in New York, Louis Vuitton covers the facade of the
building with Takashi Murakami’s signature multi-colored monogram print. The result is a
stunning branded landmark that no one can miss. Furthermore, this store features a “bag bar”
that is often seen at LV stores around the world but with moving parts. If you’re in New York,
it’s definitely worth a visit.
