MASTERMIND JAPAN 2009 SPRING / SUMMER ACCESSOIRIES
While mastermind JAPAN’s season to season releases offer little in the form of diversity, nobody can really question their dedication to their ongoing themes of skull imagery and colortones as the brand features itself as a favorite among a small niche of those able to afford the expensively priced collections. In a look at their 2009 spring/summer “ace-high” accessories, the brand’s offerings revolve around its trademark logo on items such as gloves, eyewear and belts. A large drop has arrived at Cliffedge.
TRIUMVIR x FLY x NIKE SB DUNK MID BEIJING RELEASE
Given a chance to design his own pair of sneakers alongside China’s Fly, Triumvir founder Brandon Cheng chose a theme close to his Chinese roots. Using the Dunk Mid platform, both entities took inspiration from iconic Beijing landmarks including noodles, traffic, highways and Tiananmen Square to create a silhouette from a native’s perspective. After his humble beginnings in sneaker customs, its refreshing to see Brandon’s expertise expanding throughout the industry especially within his Triumvir clothing brand. One of the better releases of 2009, the “Beijing” dunks have finally released at select Nike SB retailers including Kix-Files.
