UNDERCOVER x FRAGMENT DESIGN x NIKE
Scheduled to release this coming Saturday January 3rd, 2009, we get a closer look into Nike’s project alongside Japanese heavyweight’s Undercover and fragment design. Utilizing a seldom seen model, the kicks combine conservative tonal uppers with minimal detailing including brand logos on the outer midsoles. Coming in three different colorways, the Nike Sportswear store in Shibuya and Undercover stores in Japan will hold an exclusive release on January 3rd, 2009 will a price tag of ¥16,800 (Approx. $186 USD) each.

TOKISHIRAZU 7TH ANNIVERSARY ITEMS
Stocked with some of the finer labels and collections in the industry, Japanese retailer Tokishirazu celebrate their success with some cross-over goods for their 7th anniversary on February 7th, 2009. The collection features a classic Casio G-Shock in collaboration with Goodenough, minimally designed backpack with bag specialists hobo and denim alongside Big John. The items will be available at select Tokishirazu locations.
UNDERCOVER x RATS VIPER STUDS BANGLE AND BELT
Undercover and RATS have come together on the Viper Studs collection of accessories. Seen within both the bangle and the belt are studded arrangements with matching buckles. Also seen are debossed logos on both pieces to signify the co-branded efforts. Among the current stockists are Revolution.

N64 PORTABLE
Modder extraordinaire Ben Heck is growing disciples like Chia Pets, and his forum poster SifuF’s new Nintendo Sixtyfree Lite-R is an incredible little portable N64. We’re sure he’s made the Heckster proud. The Sixtyfree Lite-R features a 5-inch screen, headphone jack, C-button stick, and the smallest case we’ve seen yet in a portable N64 mod. It’s got all the buttons on a traditional N64 controller, which is no small feat, and manages to evoke the same toy-like plasticky design aesthetic as the original console.
HUNTING JACKET CORONA RESEARCH JACKET
As a brand with a strong philosophy behind creating authentic products, the ……. Research company has taken on previous tasks of re-creating themed collections involving Mountain, Naval and Riding Equipment among other concepts. Traditional hunting jackets is the latest look to be developed by the Japanese brand as we see the Corona jacket among the first deliveries. A well-fitting jacket features asymmetrical pocket layouts along the waist with vertical pipping highlights. Available now at Dedue.
PORTER CLASSIC GINZA
Porter Classic is a new line created by Katsuyuki Yoshida (the founder of Yoshida & Co.) and his son Akira Yoshida. Their first collection took two years in the planning because Katsuyuki Yoshida and Akira Yoshida wanted to create products that they really liked. On December 25th, they opened their first Porter Classic store in Ginza, Tokyo at the International Arcade. If you have a chance, be sure to drop.

ENGINEERED GARMENTS TOKYO STORE OPENING FEB 1ST
New York based brand with a Japanese designer, Engineered Garments, will be opening its first store in Tokyo, Japan. Engineered Garment’s flagship store will be located in Aoyama (the same area where OriginalFake, Blackflag, Dover Street Market and Bapexlusive are located) and will be opening on February 1st, 2009. While his is the first Engineered Garments flagship store in Japan, you can pick up their items at various shops in Tokyo. Stay tuned for more information.

ADIDAS SHIBUYA PERFORMANCE CENTER GRAND OPENING
Earlier this week, Tokyo was graced with yet another great store opening. Just like the Shinjuku Adidas store that just opened, the Shibuya store is celebrating “60 Years of Soles and Stripes” for the Adidas 2009 anniversary. To celebrate the opening, the store was offering some limited edition goods. Located across from Shibuya 109, this shop definitely deserves a visit.
